Job description

Selling and managing - activation of the total Royal FloraHolland service. Acquisition of new growers and buyers to strengthen the marketplace. Managing long-term (commercial) relationships and achieving high customer satisfaction. Realization of the commercial result objective (turnover/margin). Equally important is thinking and acting from the 'brackets' of the customer, trust can 'grow' and convince.

An important aspect is to really delve into the problems and business processes of the customer. Not "selling" from existing services but starting from the customer's needs / helping the customer with purchases / helping to optimize his business.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Represents Royal FloraHolland for internal and external relations on a strategic level;
  • Entering into and influencing relationships aimed at bringing and keeping parties together;
  • Sparring partner at board level;
  • Business Consulting, conducting a high-quality customer conversation, focused on product-market combinations;
  • Develops an account plan at tactical/strategic level in a complex market with an innovative product range;
  • Provides innovation in the business;
  • Is "Trusted Advisor"; builds up relationships in a short period of time, thinks along with you about business operations, e.g. knowledge and experience with the purpose of acquiring new customers and selling services;
  • Prepares and agrees on integrated and complex (cooperation) contracts with a high risk of risk;
  • Coordinates acquisition efforts on large to very large accounts (key accounts);
  • Contacts at a strategic level (management);
  • Improve Customer Satisfaction with Long Term Effect;
  • Manages a very large and diverse portfolio and contracts with high added value with very high risk of risk;
  • Negotiate within global guidelines about complex issues, empathize with the motives of parties;
  • Manages (functional) ad hoc and larger customer teams;

  • Supervision of colleagues and providing input - drafting of (sales) policy for (international) acquisition.
  • Academic work/thinking level;
  • Command of English language + 2nd foreign language;
  • Thorough knowledge of processes, methods, structures, and cultures;
  • Thorough knowledge of the floriculture chain and Royal FloraHolland business processes or developed these
  • Extensive product and market knowledge with translation to chains;
  • Recognizes and indicates (impact of) medium and long term scenarios.
